Alyssa's first year in the Miss America Pageant system was a rewarding one.  After winning the title of Miss Southern New England, she was eligible for the Miss Connecticut state pageant.  The first picture shows Alyssa with other preliminary winners and the 2006 Miss Connecticut.  Alyssa ended up with both preliminary awards, in swimsuit/fitness and talent (but of course talent!).  Below she is shown with the top five finalists and her final placement of second runner up.  Over the summer Alyssa's placement was elevated to first runner up as the winner stepped down from her title.  We are so proud of Alyssa's accomplishments.
